Privacy & Analytics

Y2KThrift uses basic first-party website analytics to understand which public shop pages are viewed and improve the shopping experience.

What our pageview analytics record

We may record the page path (without search parameters), referring website domain, broad device and browser category, date/time, approved campaign tags (UTM parameters) and a country code if our hosting provider supplies one. Broad city-level information may also be recorded when provided by trusted hosting headers, but is shown in reports only for groups with at least five tab sessions. A temporary random browser-tab session identifier helps estimate sessions. Missing location information is shown as Unknown.

What pageview analytics do not record

The first-party pageview tracker does not store your IP address, GPS coordinates, email, name, search terms, order information, or complete referring-page URLs. We may also count anonymous product views, adds to the bag, wishlist additions, checkout starts, order-request submissions, WhatsApp clicks, and sanitized short shop-search terms (including searches with no matching results). These event counts do not include customer contact details or order contents. For site-performance diagnostics we may collect anonymous Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and layout-shift (CLS) samples by broad device type, without IP addresses or personal information. It does not use a cross-site tracking cookie or a persistent advertising identifier.

Private pages and preferences

Admin, account, checkout and other private pages are excluded. The tracker respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Admins see aggregated reports rather than raw visitor identities.

Data retention

Pageview analytics older than 90 days are removed when the Admin Analytics report is opened. Analytics cannot reconstruct visits from before this tracker was installed.

Orders and contact information

Information you choose to provide when sending a product request or contacting us is handled separately from anonymous pageview analytics. No payment-card checkout is added by this analytics feature.
